With the assistance of your yoga instructor you will be gently and slowly be guided through each of the yoga poses (asanas). It is their responsibility to help assist you to extend yourself, and your postures in order to realize the full benefits of the yoga exercise. In a basic yoga session, the yoga poses that you go through will teach you about self awareness through a guided meditation.
